Polymeric Aluminium Ferric Chloride (PAFC) incorporates iron ions alongside polymeric aluminum. The iron component increases the floc weight, accelerating sedimentation speeds and improving performance in low-temperature or low-turbidity conditions, whereas standard PAC relies primarily on charge neutralization via aluminum hydroxide species.
The choice depends on the surface charge of your suspended solids. APAM is ideal for inorganic suspensions, mining wastewater, and neutral-to-alkaline pH levels. CPAM is best suited for organic sludge (such as municipal sewage) and acidic industrial waste, where it neutralizes negatively charged organic particles to improve dewatering.
Basicity represents the ratio of hydroxyl ions to aluminum ions. Higher basicity (such as 83-85% in ACH) means less alkalinity is consumed during dosage. This minimizes pH drops in treated water, generates less sludge, and forms larger, more stable flocs compared to low-basicity coagulants.
Wuxi BS's cationic Water Decolorizing Agent (WDA) complexes with anionic dye molecules. It neutralizes their surface charges, causing them to precipitate as stable flocs that can be easily removed by sedimentation or dissolved air flotation (DAF).
PDADMAC acts as a coagulant aid. By neutralizing dissolved organics and small colloids before they reach ultrafiltration (UF) or reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, it reduces fouling and decreases the frequency of chemical clean-in-place (CIP) cycles.
Solid polymers (like PAC and PAM) are hygroscopic. They should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, kept sealed in their original moisture-resistant packaging, and raised off the floor on pallets to avoid contact with ground moisture.
