Corporate Pedigree

Founded in 1998, Wuxi BS Water Treatment Chemicals Co., Ltd. represents 27 years of technological evolution in polymer chemistry.

"Engineering high-efficiency, environment-compliant purification compounds for a resource-conscious planet."

27 Years of Pure Science & Coagulant Expertise

Wuxi BS Water Treatment Chemicals Co., Ltd. (formerly Wuxi Bisheng Water Treatment Agent Co., Ltd.) is an integrated scientific manufacturing operation dedicated to drinking water filtration, municipal sewage aggregation, and challenging industrial oil/water separation tasks.

As water safety and effluent quality regulations undergo dramatic adjustments across the EU, North America, and APAC, the requirements for coagulants are shifting towards higher basicity, rapid sediment aggregation speeds, and minimal chemical residues. By leveraging a high-precision chemical infrastructure, Wuxi BS synthesizes active coagulants that operate reliably under complex, high-turbidity conditions.

Equipped with computerized dry powder milling lines and advanced liquid polymerization facilities, we produce water treatment solutions that perform efficiently across wide pH and temperature windows. Our technical engineers provide comprehensive support, from in-laboratory jar test analyses to plant-scale chemical adjustment programs.

Advanced Hydrolysis Dynamics of Coagulant Formulations

A deep technical inspection of inorganic salts, polymer structures, and sludge dewatering efficacy.

1. The Chemistry of Charge Neutralization & Poly-cationic Aggregation

Suspended colloids in natural surface waters and industrial wastewater streams carry a net negative surface charge (zeta potential). This charge generates repulsive electrostatic forces that keep the colloids suspended. Coagulation chemistry aims to neutralize these negative charges by introducing poly-cationic species such as aluminum and iron ions.

Products like Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC) and Aluminum Chlorohydrate (ACH) exhibit high structural basicity. Basicity, defined as the ratio of hydroxyl (OH) ions to aluminum (Al) ions, determines the degree of polymerization. High-basicity compounds yield dense, highly charged poly-nuclear complexes, such as the Al13 (Keggin structure) polymer. These complexes neutralize negative colloidal charges more effectively than traditional monomeric salts like aluminum sulfate.

Formula Reference: Aln(OH)mCl3n-m. Higher basicity values mean fewer corrosive chloride ions enter the treated effluent, which protects downstream concrete pipelines and reverse osmosis systems from degradation.

2. Flocculation Dynamics: Sludge Compaction and Bridging Actions

Once charge neutralization reduces electrostatic repulsion, individual particles must form larger flocs to settle. At this stage, high-molecular-weight organic polymers like Cationic Polyacrylamide (CPAM) and Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM) are introduced. These polymers extend their long carbon chains into the solution, capturing multiple particles simultaneously through a mechanism known as polymer bridging.

In sludge dewatering applications, particularly when processing biological sludge, the structure of the floc is critical. CPAM binds to negatively charged cellular envelopes, releasing bound water and producing compacted sludge cakes suitable for belt filter presses and centrifuges. This process reduces cake moisture levels, lowering transport and incineration costs.

3. Decolorization Technology for Industrial Effluents

Wastewater from textile, dyeing, and paper mills contains complex organic chromophores that resist standard biological degradation. To address this, Wuxi BS manufactures specialized Water Decolorizing Agents (WDA).

These dicyandiamide-formaldehyde derivatives contain highly active cationic quaternary ammonium structures. When added to the wastewater stream, they react with water-soluble dye anions, breaking chemical bonds and forming insoluble organic complexes. These complexes are then removed via sedimentation or air flotation, removing color from the water.

Technical & Compliance FAQ

Addressing technical inquiries, handling guidelines, and compliance standards for procurement managers.

What parameters determine the dosing performance of Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC)?
The key performance parameters are basicity and active Al2O3 content. Basicity levels (typically between 50% to 85%) influence the speed of polymer hydrolysis. High-basicity PAC yields highly charged polymeric complexes that neutralize colloidal charges rapidly, forming larger flocs with less dosage compared to low-basicity salts.
How does the Water Decolorizing Agent (WDA) interact with dye compounds?
Our Water Decolorizing Agent is a quaternary cationic polymer. It interacts with wastewater by bonding with the negatively charged anionic sulfonate groups on reactive, acid, and disperse dye molecules. This neutralizes the molecules, forming hydrophobic organic complexes that settle out of the wastewater stream.
What are the storage guidelines and shelf-life of liquid versus powder coagulants?
Solid powder coagulants (e.g., PAC, PAM) have a shelf-life of up to 2 years when stored in a cool, dry place in their original double-lined bags. Liquid coagulants (such as liquid PAC or ACH solutions) are stable for 6 to 12 months. They should be stored in corrosion-resistant tanks, such as fiberglass or polyethylene, and protected from freezing temperatures.
Do Wuxi BS products comply with European REACH and potable water standards?
Yes. Our chemical lines are manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, and we support REACH documentation for EU markets. Potable water grade PAC and ACH products meet NSF/ANSI Standard 60 specifications, ensuring heavy metal trace elements remain below regulatory limits.
Can I request a sample of polyacrylamides (APAM/CPAM) for laboratory jar testing?
Absolutely. We regularly provide samples of dry powders and liquid polymers for lab evaluation. Our technical team can assist you in selecting the correct ionic charge density and molecular weight range for your jar testing, matching the chemistry to your specific suspended solids profile.
