Wholesale Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM) for Water Treatment – Leading China Suppliers and Factory for Flocculants Manufacturer, Manufacturers
Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM) is a highly efficient water-soluble polymer characterized by its negatively charged molecular chains (-COOâ»). It excels in high-turbidity environments, including municipal sewage treatment, papermaking wastewater management, and mining wastewater applications. When APAM interacts with positively charged suspended solids and colloidal particles in water, it effectively utilizes mechanisms such as electrical neutralization and adsorption bridging to coagulate and precipitate these impurities swiftly. As one of the leading China suppliers and manufacturers in this field, our factory is dedicated to providing high-quality Anionic Polyacrylamide to meet the demands of various industries
Precise Molecular Weight Control: The molecular weight of anionic PAM ranges from 12 million to 20 million (adjustable), with long and uniform molecular chains, showing significant flocculation effects on high-turbidity wastewater (turbidity ≤ 5000 NTU), and the turbidity removal rate is ≥ 95%.
Fast Dissolution, Low Residue: The dissolution time of powder PAM ≤ 60 minutes (at room temperature), after dissolution, the flocs are large and settle quickly (settling speed is 25%–40% faster than conventional products), and it works better when used in combination with PAC. Water insoluble matter ≤ 0.5%.
Strong Tolerance: Resistant to acid and alkali (pH 5–10), has a stable effect on papermaking black liquor (high alkalinity) and mine acidic wastewater (low pH), and does not corrode pipes or equipment.

Application Areas
Municipal Sewage: Flocculation in the primary sedimentation tank and secondary sedimentation tank of urban domestic sewage treatment plants to reduce SS (suspended solids) to below 10 mg/L.
Paper Mill Wastewater: Delignification of pulping black liquor, white water recovery (fiber collection rate increased by 15%–20%).
Mine / Coal Washing Wastewater: Clarification of coal slurry water (collection rate of flotation clean coal increased by 8%–12%), flocculation and sedimentation in tailings pond.
Building Materials Wastewater: Production wastewater from cement plants and ceramic factories removes suspended solids (turbidity reduced from 2000 NTU to 50 NTU).
Packaging & Storage
Solid Powder: 25 kg woven bag lined with plastic bag / 1 ton jumbo bag (customizable English / customer logo packaging available).
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place (temperature ≤ 35°C), avoid direct sunlight; the shelf life of the solid is 2 years (unopened).
Frequently Asked Questions
Q
What is the molecular weight range of anionic PAM, and why does it matter?
Anionic PAM (APAM) is available with a molecular weight ranging from 12 million to 20 million, which is adjustable based on your application requirements. A higher molecular weight generally provides stronger bridging flocculation, making it more effective for treating high-turbidity wastewater (up to 5000 NTU) with a turbidity removal rate of ≥ 95%.
Q
How long does anionic PAM powder take to dissolve, and how should it be prepared?
The dissolution time for powder anionic PAM is ≤ 60 minutes at room temperature. It is recommended to prepare a 0.1%–0.3% aqueous solution by slowly adding the powder to water while stirring. For best results, use it in combination with PAC (Polyaluminum Chloride), which can increase settling speed by 25%–40% compared to conventional products.
Q
What pH range is anionic PAM suitable for?
Anionic PAM is suitable for a pH range of 5–10, making it effective in both mildly acidic and alkaline environments. It performs stably in papermaking black liquor (high alkalinity) as well as mine acidic wastewater (low pH), and does not corrode pipes or equipment.
Q
What industries and wastewater types is anionic PAM best suited for?
Anionic PAM is widely used across multiple industries including municipal sewage treatment (reducing SS to below 10 mg/L), paper mill wastewater (white water recovery with 15%–20% improved fiber collection), coal washing and mine wastewater (flotation clean coal collection rate improved by 8%–12%), and building materials wastewater from cement and ceramic plants (turbidity reduced from 2000 NTU to 50 NTU).
Q
What packaging options are available for anionic PAM, and can custom branding be arranged?
Anionic PAM is available in 25 kg woven bags lined with inner plastic bags, or in 1-ton jumbo bags for bulk orders. Custom packaging with English labels or customer logo printing is available upon request, making it convenient for international trade and brand-specific requirements.
Q
What are the storage requirements and shelf life of anionic PAM?
Anionic PAM should be stored in a cool, dry environment with a temperature not exceeding 35°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. When stored in unopened original packaging under these conditions, the shelf life is 2 years. Avoid storing near heat sources or in humid areas to maintain product performance.
