High Basicity Alumina Pre-Polymerization

Standard Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC) products often struggle in low-temperature, low-turbidity waters due to incomplete hydrolysis. Answer: Aluminum Chlorohydrate (ACH) features a much higher basicity (typically 83-85%) and a higher Al2O3 concentration (up to 24% in liquid form) compared to standard PAC (which has a basicity of 40-65% and Al2O3 concentration of 10-18%). Because of this highly polymerized pre-hydrolyzed aluminum structure, ACH delivers a higher positive charge density. This allows for faster floc formation and better turbidity removal at lower dosages, while keeping the treated water's pH stable, reducing the need for post-treatment pH adjustments.
Q2: Can PDADMAC completely replace inorganic metal coagulants in industrial wastewater?
Answer: In some situations, yes. PDADMAC is a highly cationic polymer that functions by charge neutralization. However, for waters containing very high concentrations of colloidal mineral suspensions, a combined approach is often best.
